Paraffin Wax Moisturisation and Pain Relief Treatment
Paraffin wax has a long history of treating a variety of physical conditions, and has been traced back as far as the Roman Empire where it was used in massage therapy. The paraffin wax used in our spa treatments acts as an emollient, which helps trap moisture in the skin. Once the paraffin is peeled away, rough hands, feet and dry cuticles are left soft and moisturized.
The heat from a wax spa also helps to temporarily soothe aching joints and increase circulation, which gives hands a more youthful appearance. The heat has a relaxing effect, relieves stress in the same way a warm bath does. Paraffin wax can be applied to your hands or feet or chosen parts of your full body to ease the pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis. Paraffin especially helps to reduce pain and loosen up your hand and finger joints before any activity.
